The next level offers Platinum Support Maintenance which is designed for the large enterprise operating multiple machines across numerous computer networks.

The third Symantec support program offers the Premium Platinum program, which adds a Technical Account Manager and three Designated Technical Contacts to the services provided by a Platinum Maintenance contract.

Symantec support at the Gold Maintenance level can be purchased for the AntiVirus and firewall product families only.

Included is Gold technical support, upgrade insurance, and content updates (for applicable products), on a product by product or product family basis. A business with a small to medium network typically would subscribe to this program.

Support at the Platinum Maintenance level like its Gold level program can only be purchased for the AntiVirus and firewall product families.

Included is Platinum technical support, upgrade insurance and content updates (for applicable products) on a product by product or product family basis. A large enterprise operating multiple machines across numerous computer networks typically would subscribe to this program.

Symantec support at the Premium Platinum Maintenance level of service provides support for businesses requiring critical 24-hour access to support. Platinum Maintenance is designed for the large enterprise operating multiple machines across numerous computer networks.

As is the case with its two counterparts, Premium Platinum Maintenance provides for content updates (for applicable products), on a product by product or product family basis, includes upgrade insurance, and can be purchased for the AntiVirus and firewall product families only.

If you are using a retail version of Norton AntiVirus, norton-antivirus-updates are a feature of the new Intelligent Updater.
